Nacrée began in a London kitchen in 2022. Two friends — a bartender and a food scientist — frustrated that premium ready-to-drink cocktails barely existed in Europe. Everything on the shelf was either too sweet, too simple, or missing the theatre.
They spent eighteen months developing the process: cold-distilling base spirits, sourcing fruit at peak season, and partnering with a small spirits producer in the Basque Country to get the balance exactly right.
The name — from the French for "pearlescent" — captures what they were after: a lustre, a quality you can see and feel before you even taste it. Each cocktail in the range is designed to be as beautiful poured into a glass as it is to drink.

Craft
Every recipe goes through dozens of iterations. We don't compromise on balance — if the acid is off, we start again.

Provenance
We know where every ingredient comes from. Blood oranges from Sicily. Cardamom from Kerala. Agave from Jalisco.

Ritual
Opening a bottle of Nacrée should feel like something. That's why we obsess over packaging as much as flavour.

No artificial flavours. No cutting corners. We'd rather charge a fair price and do it right than compromise the drink.

Former head bartender at Claridge's and Noma. Sophie leads the flavour and creative direction of every Nacrée cocktail, from concept through to the final product.
Co-Founder & Head of Production
Marcus Webb
Food scientist and former R&D lead at Diageo. Marcus developed Nacrée's cold-distillation process and manages all supplier relationships and production.

Step 01
Source
We work directly with small-scale growers and distillers across Europe and beyond. Every ingredient is selected at peak season.
Step 02
Distil
Our cold-distillation process preserves the volatile aromatic compounds that heat destroys — that's where the complexity comes from.
Step 03
Blend
Each cocktail is blended by hand in small batches, tasted against a reference standard, and approved before bottling.
Step 04
Bottle
Hand-filled, sealed, and labelled at our partner facility in the Basque Country. Every bottle carries a batch number.
